Job Description
- Lead the business segment by identifying customer needs and leveraging opportunities for category growth to meet targets for assortment, profitability, and sales/GMV.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem and value propositions, while crafting business proposals based on the analysis of business strengths and customer needs.
- Break down objectives, develop budget plans, and translate these goals into actionable strategies.
- Develop and adapt go-to-market, seller/brand growth, and merchandise strategies tailored to the local market to ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with the data team to build and monitor operational metrics, ensuring continuous optimisation of data-driven products.
- Oversee the merchant ecosystem, identifying high-potential merchants and emerging product opportunities, while remaining vigilant to risks.
- Drive business growth through product optimisation, effective merchant management, and thorough data analysis.
- Implement and oversee key strategies aimed at merchant success and sustainability.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree or higher required.
- Over 5 years of experience in eCommerce platforms, consulting, or internet strategy, with a strong background in market research, business analytics, and eCommerce-related projects.
- Proven track record in project execution, commercial negotiations, and relationship management, paired with strong analytical skills.
- Currently reporting to Country Manager/CEO.
- Experience managing teams effectively.
- Solid understanding of the eCommerce industry.
