Robert Half is searching for an energetic Controller to join a reputable Real Estate Development and Property Management company. In this leadership role, you will manage an accounting and clerical department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. Responsibilities
- Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations
- Work closely with Senior Leadership and Owners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
- Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management
- Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
- Present Senior Leadership and Owners with monthly financial reports
- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
- Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis
- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed
