Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and management of all HR functions and operations, ensuring alignment with United Way Winnipeg’s vision, mission, and values.
Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives to support employee engagement, culture alignment, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, facilitating open communication and providing guidance to leaders across the organization.
Talent Management: Develop and maintain an employee value proposition to attract top talent, and oversee best practices in recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
People Development: Implement and support our Career Framework, Performance Review & Development Framework, and Leadership Development Framework to foster a coaching culture and enhance leadership capability.
Total Rewards & Benefits: Oversee the review and enhancement of our total rewards philosophy, including employee wellness offerings and benefit administration.
Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, and develop HR policies and procedures that support organizational needs.
Health & Safety Leadership: Advise on Occupational Health & Safety compliance and contribute to the continuous improvement of related programs.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in progressively senior HR roles, with a proven track record in HR strategy development and delivery. Experience in organizational and leadership development, preferably within both unionized and non-unionized environments. Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field; CPHR certification is required. Applied knowledge of Manitoba employment law and HR Information Systems. Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational skills, with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
