Responsibilities:
Provides leadership, direction and oversight to Agro Division operations, programs, and policies in Melville. Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the Prairie Coop’s objectives and industry best practices. Lead sourcing efforts to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality and cost effectiveness criteria. Administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity. Oversee the completion and follow through of all safety and environmental policies and procedures and ensure standards are achieved. Provide leadership to the Ag Sales Representatives, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members.
Qualifications:
Post-Secondary Education in Agriculture or a related discipline. CCA or P. Ag designation is desirable. 8+ years of Relevant Experience, including leadership experience. Strong background in Agriculture, Account Management, or Agronomy is considered an asset.
