Job Description
- Lead and manage the procurement of medical consumables for our hospitals, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality supplies.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with our organisational goals and compliance requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring favourable terms.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to understand their needs and ensure that procurement activities support clinical operations.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising wastage.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years within healthcare consumables
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
