The Business Development Manager will assist in increasing sales growth and client satisfaction for Zenith across QLD. You will develop and maintain professional and strong working relationships with our existing clients and be proficient in generating leads and market to our prospect database.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Achieve personal and business budget outcomes – including new sales initiation and conversion, plus client retention, for Zenith, Chant West, FE fundinfo’s range of managed accounts and consulting solutions, investment and super research, and relevant digital tools.
- Actively collaborate across the group, representing the client perspective on group initiatives, plus sourcing, qualifying and supporting conversion of client leads for others.
- Develop and maintain a strong reputation in our target client segments, with relevant industry knowledge and strengthening long-term “strategic relationships” within QLD.
- Initiate and implement sales ideas and plans (including reporting on progress via 90-day planning).
- Play an active role in executing agreed client sales and marketing campaigns.
- Set and maintain highly quality activity levels with clients and other stakeholders.
- Actively maintain client database (CRM) to ensure rich and current client data is available for all sales and marketing activity.
- Actively provide relevant market insight and knowledge to our product and service development programme.
- Maintain consistently high standards of professionalism and integrity in all dealings with clients, suppliers and staff (directly supporting the Zenith brand and values).
- Set an appropriate example to others in working as part of a focused team.
- Maintain RG146 compliance.
- Professional representation of the Group in agreed conference and sponsored events (including organisational support).
To join us you will need the following experience and skills:
- You must have a minimum of 5 years experience in business development manager role(s), with strong knowledge in investment management, managed account delivery, managed fund research, super and/or investment consulting – preferably in the retail wealth adviser segment.
- You will ideally have knowledge of financial planning processes, particularly client segmentation and transition would be beneficial.
- You must be incredibly self-driven and be able to work independently.
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You will have a demonstrated broad, current and credible adviser relationship network (dealer principals/advisers) as well as platforms and paraplanning groups.
- You will have a strong reputation as a team player with demonstrable client relationship management skills and proven sales results.
- You must have strong experience in sales planning and execution across all levels of clients, including developing client collaboration initiatives, presentation delivery, price negotiation (as required).
