About the Role:
The role is aimed to provide key analytics and category insights for retailers to ensure that Ferrero is well placed to grow both, the category and the Ferrero business. The role works in a close collaboration with the key retailers' teams to manage the position of the Ferrero products at the point of purchase and drives category growth strategies via the 4Ps (price, promotions, position and product), based on aligned shopper, category and market insights. The role is responsible for the emerging Company portfolio that includes biscuits, spreads, frozen product and others.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop the Customer point of purchase vision for responsible categories, particularly the lead channel customers
Contribute to internal business plans for the relevant channels, using shopper, consumer and channel insights
Define and implement tools and projects to support the strategic development of the retail-mix: ranging, space management, visibility, price/promotions
Propose effective space management / shelf layouts for categories by channel and customer, including planogram creation and support for customers / channels as needed
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to gain insights into market trends, competitor performance, shopper preferences, and other relevant data to ensure efficient assortment and optimum range for each Ferrero product
Own category range reviews, promotion (including shelf price) analysis, create shelf position recommendations by channel and key customer as well as shelf review analysis for the customer / channel
Develop customer category growth driving initiatives in the areas of product (range, planogram), in key customers
Assist with creation of category strategy drivers to drive sustainable growth for assigned portfolio / categories
Implement, measure and review performance, review respective KPIs to determine focus areas and opportunities
Identify business opportunities and continuously evolve category development plans by key customer and lead channel
Provide effective, actionable insights that are focused supporting our plans with the retailers
Proactively manage range performance in key customers to avoid unexpected deletions or stock management issues
Manage New Product Development go-to-market execution and performance tracking by key channel and customer, partner closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop ideal ranges and activations
Own the Customer category team relationships (including merchandising/buying team analysts)
Act as trusted category adviser to our key trade partners providing Insights and opportunities through (not limited to) strategic category reviews, range reviews and planning days
Be a category expert by staying up to date with industry trends, consumer behaviours, and market dynamics
Who we are looking for:
University degree
Relevant experience in FMCG industry in category management roles, commercial and retail experience is preferred
Good knowledge of trade, market, sales channel and marketing
Proven experience in market analysis, category management or related, with the ability to draw actionable insights from data
Strong analytical capabilities, problem solving and result orientation
Ability to communicate effectively across different teams and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a range of stakeholders
Advanced customer management, ability to manage multiple priorities
MS Office proficiency, experience with market research tools, and other data analysis software
