Purpose of Role:
The Senior Director/Head Billing will oversee the entire Billing process, ensuring efficient billing operations, accurate invoicing, and revenue recognition. This leadership role requires extensive experience in billing, accounts receivable management, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will drive improvements in billing practices, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage the large billing / OTC team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance.
- Establish clear performance goals and metrics, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
Billing Operations Management:
- Oversee end-to-end billing processes, project set up, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing to customers, resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain robust controls and procedures to ensure billing accuracy and compliance
- Oversee the migration and integration of billing systems and processes across different regions.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports on billing performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
- Provide insights into billing trends, revenue forecasts, and potential risks.
- Develop and manage service and customer profitability reports to assess and enhance the financial performance of services and customer accounts
- Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
KPI and SLA Tracking:
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) related to the quality and timeliness.
- Develop and implement action plans to address any performance issues.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Vistra and client side
- Work closely with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve billing issues and improve processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for billing-related inquiries and escalations.
Attributes/Technical Skills:
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Proficiency in SAP and other financial software or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Demonstrated experience in handling multi-geography billing operations and migration projects.
- Strong understanding of OTC processes, billing systems, financial reporting and revenue recognition principles.
Relevant Qualification and Experience:
- MBA/CA Inter/M. Com
- Experience of handling large team size, multiple geographies and time zones
- 20+ years of total experience of which 10 + experience in managing Client Billing / OTC in Shared Service Centre / BPO. At least 5 years in a leadership role.
