India Country Manager
Kunal Parekh High School Tours (KPT) is working on behalf of our client, California State University Chico to appoint a Country Manager based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
This post will be employed and managed directly by Kunal Parekh High School Tours & California State University Chico.
Purpose
The purpose of this role is to work in a Student Recruitment Managerial Role in growing the existing channels but also to develop new student recruitment channels to achieve set growth targets. The role will also focus on developing new markets within the designated region (where identified in agreement with KPT Managing Director) and new recruitment channels within these markets to drive growth across the India Market Region.
Supervision Received: KPT Managing Director India & Main Campus Team International Office
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. In conjunction with the KPT Managing Director achieve set enrolment targets within regional responsibility by intake.
2. Regularly Meet & Interact with Students, Parents, High School Counsellors & Agents to ensure their needs are consistently met for various requirements such as Program Information, Admission & Scholarship Process & Policies, I-20 Visa Requirements, On-Campus Boarding Activities such as Housing, Meal Plans, WhatsApp Student Groups amongst others in line with training received.
3. Develop, Manage and Motivate relationships with Agents, Schools, Institutions, EducationUSA, US Commercial Services and other stakeholders in line with driving recruitment and brand development within regional responsibility thus ensuring our relationships and engagement with stakeholders is market-leading.
4. Establish new channels to grow recruitment within the designated region
5. Contribute towards the strategic planning of the markets designated, with accountability for achievement of agreed sales targets
6. Working with the wider Campus Team International Office (including but not limited to other sales team colleagues, admissions, and conversation teams) to deliver sales reporting on an ongoing basis to the KPT Managing Director & the wider International Office Leadership Team when required.
7. Working closely with the University to ensure any progression pipelines are being maximized, providing support where appropriate and signposting potential new partnerships when identified accordingly.
8. Develop Campus International Admissions Team travel plans that are market driven that support recruitment efforts and arrangement schedules for incoming staff members from across the University that support recruitment objectives.
9. Working closely to ensure the University Marketing and Conversion efforts are reflective of the market needs.
10. Working closely with High Schools & Agents to support growth through this channel, including but not limited to; training on academic programs and application processes, exhibition attendance and recruitment action plans etc.
11. Working closely with industry stakeholders to ensure there is clear visibility of activities and projects happening within the region to support the objective of developing the brand and increasing enrolments.
12. Regular competitor analysis to ensure California State University, Chico offerings, admissions & scholarship policies, remain competitive, innovative and in line with the market trends.
13. Under the general supervision of the KPT Managing Director, ensure that all sensitive prospect and applicant data managed by the India Team complies with institutional and US data security policies and privacy laws per contract between KPT and California State University, Chico.
14. Other duties that are within the scope of the spirit of the job purpose, the title of the post and its grading.
Applicant Requirements:
· Applicant must have a Good First Degree (& Higher degree or professional management qualification if possible)
· Proven track record of successfully operating in the International Higher Education Sector
· Experience of working with and recruiting Indian students for an Overseas Education
· Experience of developing overseas student recruitment channels such as agent networks, high schools, colleges etc.
· Must be creative in terms of fresh ideas towards recruitment strategy of the Institution.
· Recruitment driven and motivated by a target-based culture with ethical standards.
· Self-Starter, quick to take the initiative and spot new opportunities.
· Student & Institution focused, capable of delivering results in a cost-effective manner.
· Entrepreneurial and innovative with a delivery focus that is customer centric.
· Strong Organisational, Planning and Implementation Skills.
· Strong Management, and Leadership skills - Must be able to lead projects independently.
· Ability to speak a second language appropriate to the Region.
· Capable of building working relationships and networks with people from a range backgrounds and cultures
· Skilled Negotiator in range of situations when working with Students, Parents, Agents etc.
· Strong Customer focus, committed to ensuring delivery of excellent industry leading service standards.
· Act as an ambassador for the Institution with the Campus Team International Office & Externally in the India Market Region with all Stakeholders.
· Domestic Travel (Regular Monthly)
· International Travel Annually, when funding allows.
· Applicant must have Excellent English skills - Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
