Job Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for directing and overseeing all company financial activities and ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong finance, accounting, and business operations background, particularly within the real estate and construction sectors. The CFO will work closely with the Management and other senior executives to drive the company's financial strategy, manage risks, and achieve long-term financial goals.
Key Responsibilities.
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and drive financial performance.
- Lead and assist the leadership team in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Identify, analyze, and recommend investment opportunities, including land acquisitions and new projects.
- Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identify key trends, and present recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement the statutory compliance framework in line with industry-specific and relevant regulatory framework.
- Manage relationships with internal and external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Capital Management and Fundraising: Optimize capital structure and manage working capital effectively.
- Oversee cash flow management and ensure liquidity to avoid financial disruptions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions and investors and secure financing for projects through various channels.
- Monitor and manage the investment portfolios of the organization.
- Risk Management and Mitigation: Implement robust financial risk management strategies.
- Oversee insurance programs and manage potential liabilities.
- Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and implement strong measures to deter fraudulent activities.
- Analyze contracts to identify potential financial risks associated with project modifications, timelines, or unexpected events.
- Project Finance & Accounts: Oversee and assist the project leads in project-specific financial planning, budgeting, and cost control ensuring alignment with organizational financial strategy.
- Analyze and optimize project financing structures.
- Evaluate the financial viability of potential real estate developments.
- Implement effective cost allocation and project accounting systems.
- Monitor and analyse project profitability and return on investment.
- Technology and Systems: Leverage technological advancements to optimize financial systems and streamline workflows.
- Ensure the finance department leverages data analytics for decision-making.
- Implement robust cyber security measures to protect data.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and drive operational excellence.
Qualification & Competencies:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in senior financial management roles in Real Estate and Construction firms.
- Deep understanding of real estate finance, project financing, and construction accounting.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Expert knowledge of financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in advanced financial management software and ERP systems, preferably SAP

- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities
