Direct Report: Chairman of the Board
The core roles of the Finance Director include:
- Leading a group of senior accountants in the Philippines which is responsible for preparing the accounts for the Family Office and its operating businesses (shared service)
- Actively engaging in the day-to-day operations of all the entities under the group (shared service).
- Reviewing and reporting the monthly financial statements to the Chairman and taking an active part in the strategic review and decision making of the group.
- Liaising with the Finance Department of the operating entities in Malta, Australia and Fiji under the Family Office. This role involves directly communicating with the CEO and CFOs of these entities and makes sure all of the accounting policies and procedures and the financial reporting are complete, timely and accurate for the Chairman’s strategic decision making.
- Ensuring that relevant rules and regulations for of each country involved are observed and transfer pricing documentations and double taxation agreements are properly implemented.
- Implementing the necessary systems to streamline the processes and that proper controls are in place.
- Liaising with the Family Office’s banks and other third-party contacts (e.g., Financing Companies, Wealth Management Banks, Commercial Banks and auditors).
- Participating in due diligence efforts relating to any Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Leading the timely completion of multiple sets of audited financial statements each year.
- Reviewing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to identify errors and proactively correct system and accounting operational issues to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA certification required
- 10 to 15 years or managerial experience
- Work set-up: Direct hire and offshore 100% working from home
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
