Job Title: L&D Director – Marketing Function
Job Description: In this role you’ll partner with Marketing leaders, VP People and Strategic People Business partner to identify and strengthen the key capabilities for those teams, and drive performance. This role leads, actively promotes and delivers the Corporate and Functional Learning programs and Academies that are fit for those business functions as well as global needs, and will govern training investments accordingly.
What’s in it for you? This is a new role in the function that will focus on taking the Marketing Academy to the next level. This role will ensure the Marketing functional needs are fed into the global programs and academies, and where specific and unique needs are defined this role will help source, design and deliver ‘development’ built to address the gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of the Marketing L&D strategy in alignment to the 3 year Strategic Workforce Plan, supporting development of talent progression and greater levels of marketing capability.
- Leverage global programs and design and deliver functional development programs that will shift performance within function through a strong focus on learning as an enabler.
- Work in partnership with senior leaders to implement the learning strategy and embed required skills through the Marketing Academy and active promotion of learning in the function.
- Own functional reporting and ensure the evaluation of impact on performance for all Corporate and Functional programs.
- Engage with and support the delivery and promotion of global programs within function so as to gain insight and provide value.
- Lead accountability for external vendors and ensuring all Sage learning platforms are maximised, communicated and adopted by the function as a key enabler.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 years’ experience in L&D - with recent, proven experience and track record in delivering high value for Marketing teams.
- Proficiency in English language, with strong verbal and written skills.
- Experience in cross-functional, multi-country, virtual teams in matrix-organisations and used to working in a global organisation and dealing with different cultures and time zones.
- Comfortable in training skills, i.e., theory, design, delivery and facilitation.
- Experienced in the procurement and management of suppliers and management of budgets.
- Strong consultancy skills and experience, gained in either an internal or external consultant role.
