We're looking for a Copywriter to join our team in London as part of our Marketing function.
Your team: You will work in close collaboration with all current and future members of the LIONS Marketing team, including the VP of Marketing, Creative Director, Senior Social Media Editor, copywriters, art directors, digital producers, other designers, and marketing managers.
Your Role: You will be a vital member of the creative team and will work on a wide variety of creative projects from brief to delivery for all our products, awards, and events. You will drive high creative standards and be a brand guardian for the globally known LIONS brand and our portfolio, which includes LIONS Membership, The Work, Advisory, Learning, Cannes Lions, Eurobest, and more.
Your direct contribution includes, but is not limited to, the production of creative and advertising copy for both event assets and film, writing for design, content writing for email and social media executions, internal and external announcements, and toolkits, as well as creative pitches with external partners.
Key accountabilities:
- Owning briefs from start to completion, ensuring each brief objective is completed in full, on time, and in line with company/brand standards.
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant business partners to produce copy and content, following up with questions, updates, and edits as needed.
- Ability to work independently to lead a creative project while continually sharing progress with stakeholders on the Marketing team and across the business.
- Write content for a variety of projects across marketing activities including email, social media assets, web assets, content reports, supporting collateral, and advertisements.
- Ability to thrive in an exciting and busy environment, working for an iconic brand.
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative, motivating and inspiring the team around them.
- Belief in the power of creativity.

Your Experience:
- Ability to write compelling copy, content, and concepts that meet project requirements, brand guidelines, and LIONS creative standards.
- Creativity and storytelling; you are a source of original, conceptual ideas and hooks that engage audiences.
- A portfolio of client work for a range of sectors from B2C to B2B.
- A clear ability to write both long-form and short-form content.
- Experience in the Creative Industry and a keen awareness of trends and topics within it.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent organisational skills; must handle multiple projects and produce a high volume of quality work within tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to own creative projects while being a team player, comfortable with following direction and receiving feedback.
- Some experience as a writer in the creative industry; relevant experience working in a team-based environment is ideal.
