THE COMPANY
Our client specialises in the development, production, finance and sales of film and Television content. In addition to third party sales, the company has a mature development slate across a wide cross- section of genres that it is working towards getting into production.
THE ROLE
As Head of International sales, you will ensure that each film title is placed with the most appropriate distribution companies in order to maximise revenue globally.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to corporate strategy across production & sales
- Establish and manage relationships with international film distributors and streamers
- Develop successful sales and distribution strategies for each film
- Negotiate and close deals with independent distributors and/or streamers across international territories.
- Assemble sales projections for new titles
- Represent company film titles at key international markets.
- Build internal knowledge base of sales and market intelligence
- Work closely with marketing and film makers to develop B2B marketing
- Assess market value of potential productions and co-productions: as early as script stage & advise internally
THE PERSON
With extensive film sales experience and a deep understanding of key deal terms across territories, you will be skilled at handling complex negotiations with international film distributors and streamers.
A knowledge of the international buyer landscape is essential, and strong existing relationships with key distributors is important.
You should be experienced at working with film-makers & internal financiers at script stage to advise on international market value.
