We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, results-driven sales leader in Europe who will help us fully capitalize on the opportunity in front of us and ensure we deliver on our growth ambitions.
This executive role is pivotal in driving the company’s success across the UK and Europe. The Snr Director/VP Sales, Europe will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, creating a high-performing sales team, and expanding CloudPay’s market share within the region. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the payroll and HR technology landscape, have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.
Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the EMEA region that aligns with CloudPay’s Go To Market strategy and business objectives. Identify new market opportunities, establish sales targets, and ensure consistent growth in market share and revenue. - Team Management and Development:
Lead, scale, and transform the team to become a high-performing sales team across the region. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration. Recruit and onboard top sales talent, and ensure ongoing professional development for the team. - Revenue Growth:
Drive revenue growth by managing the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure. Ensure the achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets, and manage sales forecasts and pipelines with precision. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, alliances, product, customer success, pricing, deal desk, and other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall company goals. Provide insights into customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform product development, commercial strategies, and marketing initiatives. - Market Intelligence and Positioning:
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends, and customer needs within the EMEA region. Position CloudPay’s solutions effectively against competitors and articulate the unique value propositions to prospective customers. - Reporting and Analytics:
Regularly report on sales performance, market conditions, and progress against targets to the CRO and other executive leadership. Utilize data-driven insights to refine sales strategies and tactics.
Attributes and Experience Required:
- Extensive sales knowledge and experience, with proven and strong experience in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of creating and leading successful sales teams and exceeding revenue targets, particularly in the payroll or HR technology sectors.
- Strong experience in managing complex sales cycles and negotiating high-value contracts with multinational and global enterprise clients.
- Proven ability to work in a high-growth environment which requires energy, drive, determination, and innovation.
- Familiarity with ABM/ABX and MEDDPICC is an advantage.
Leadership:
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse, geographically dispersed sales team.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute methodically, with a strong focus on results.
- Proven desire and ability to challenge the status quo to drive exceptional results.
Industry Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of the payroll or HR technology space, with the ability to quickly grasp and articulate the value proposition of CloudPay’s offerings.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives and other key stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
