We are looking to hire a Head of New Business, EMEA to join our Sales team in London.
This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 2-3 days in our London office per week.

We are looking for a Head of New Business to join our team in EMEA and become an integral part of our Sales strategy. The Head of New Business will oversee a team of 17 sales members. You will report directly to the VP of Sales.
You will be responsible for EMEA as your sales region, managing the teams across different locations/countries. You will be responsible for creating the strategic sales plan that ensures excellent customer acquisition, driving average order value and increasing market share.
You will use your expertise to ensure the team’s 360 sales cycle is optimised and tracked. You will be managing, motivating and coaching your leaders and their respective teams. Building the culture and performance of the team to help achieve the growth targets you are responsible for. You will be part of the EMEA leadership team, working closely with the VP of Sales.
Key accountabilities
- Oversee and lead a team of new business sellers that are responsible for monthly value deals.
- Lead a team to identify business opportunities, build key prospect relationships, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
- Train and develop the sales team in order to deliver monthly targets results.
- Lead a team to identify, progress and close new opportunities, devise sales strategies, evaluate performance, forecast and provide support and corrective measures when necessary.
- Be able to learn and teach the sales tools required for the sales position in your team at WGSN.
- Ensure the team is driving all aspects and stages of the sales cycle including qualifying the viability of potential sales, delivering winning presentations, contract negotiations, legal and procurement discussions and managing the sales process through to its close.
- Hold the team accountable to meet/exceed monthly KPIs quotas on a consistent basis.
- Manage/support members of the team with suggested sales strategy, process, training, research, qualifying and prospect/account mapping.
- Provide weekly forecast of sales opportunities closing and provide an accurate overview of new business pipeline as it relates to monthly quota.
- Analyse performance patterns behind the numbers and build strategies to consistently achieve better results.
- Uncover areas of opportunity and build sales pursuit lists to increase average order value and drive regional growth.
- Create incentive plans and commission schemes for approval, that will drive the team and business faster.
Skills, experience & qualifications required
- Extensive sales, managing experience and leadership in a Head of Sales capacity.
- Great business network/experience working with the consumer insight, design industries and consumer driven companies.
- Experience on managing a multi-region territory in a direct business to business sales function (subscription-based services, information industry, software sales experience a plus).
- Proven track record of consistent monthly sales quota achievement.
- A consultative approach to selling in a high value sales price environment across multiple industries.
- Strong oral presentation skills required for virtual and in person meetings and trainings.
- Excellent time management skills in meeting deadlines and organising management follow up priorities.
- Experience in working with CRM (Salesforce, Salesloft is a plus).
- Ability to oversee Salesforce database, opportunity pipeline and lead cultivation, including holistic overview of all outstanding communications and prospect relationships.
