About the Role:
As Operations Director, you’ll report directly to the Managing Director – Lodge Security and play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction. You’ll lead a Regional team, ensuring operational excellence across our client portfolio and contributing to our mission of creating safer communities to work, rest, and play.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business growth and client retention through strategic leadership.
- Manage and develop high-performing teams.
- Ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee financial management and budgeting.
- Foster strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
- Lead innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and drive a strategy of growth and retention of new and existing business through the development of long-term client relationships.
- Drive and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain key talent to deliver best-in-class service.
- Support the new business development process, bringing subject matter expertise to solutions development, sales collateral, and client presentations.
- Ensure continual development, implementation, and monitoring of activities that will enhance team development and engagement.
- Stay current with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans to mitigate operational risks.
- Lead compliance audits and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Communicate strategy to team and ensure that improvements are implemented to maximize performance and customer satisfaction.
- Challenge and continually review operations to drive improvements and best practices.
- Develop, monitor, and manage the operational budget, including revenue forecasts and expense controls.
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth potential.
- Prepare regular financial reports and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor current and new insurance liability cases and work with insurer representatives to ensure thorough investigation of claims.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Extensive experience operating and delivering in senior leadership roles within the security sector.
- Proven ability to lead large teams across all sectors of the business.
- Positive leadership behaviors which drive inclusion and cultural change.
- Ability to cultivate strong and lasting client relationships.
- Record of delivering financial KPIs year on year.
- Ability to manage in a fluctuating and fast-moving environment.
- Strong self-awareness with the ability to adapt as required.
- HR awareness creating a sense of pride and team spirit across their team.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
- Financial acumen and budget management experience.
- SIA Licence.
- Must hold a formal security qualification (MSC, CPP, CSC, PSP, DIP Syl) or be working towards a formal certification in security risk management.
- Detailed knowledge of security threats and vulnerabilities and their mitigation.
- Sound knowledge of security risk surveying.
Desirable:
- BSc in Management or equivalent third-level qualification.
