The opportunity: There are 36 converting plants in the Europe region, six in the APAC, and two in India. In addition, we use sub-contractors in the APAC region to supply our Global customers. Total Sales are $1.4bn with 6,000 employees. Therefore, a complex structure.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
- Strategic guidance to the CEO and ExCom on all business issues
- Leadership of the Consumer Finance function
- SW Management and Financial reporting
- SW Compliance
- IT and Business process development
- Provision of strategic plan due in 2025
- All statutory reporting for Smurfit Westrock
- Relevant Management information delivered in the required manner and on time
- Leading the development programme for future financial controllers
- Continuous improvement in the business processes
- Oversight of an IT platform that meets the security and compliance needs of the group but also acts as a Business Enabler
- All legal and Secretarial co-ordination
What you need to succeed:
- Must be a qualified accountant
- Experience of leadership of a large team that does not report directly to you
- The ability to present a business strategy to your colleagues
- The ability to influence the SW Financial Agenda
