Overview
ISS ESG Research provides a wide range of market-leading research, ratings, screening solutions, and thought leadership contents for investors to develop policies, practices, and engagement criteria for their portfolio holdings. One of ISS ESG Research's divisions is ISS ESG Integrated Solutions, which is organized around four ESG Research verticals. The Sovereign Research team is one of them, overseeing the production of ESG ratings on more than 150 sovereign entities globally and implementing the supporting methodology.
The Sovereign Research – Team Lead is responsible for the production of all Sovereign Research products/solutions, including ESG Country Ratings , ESG Country Controversy Assessments , and ESG Sub-Sovereign Ratings . This senior role requires the management of a team of Analysts, close interaction with multiple internal stakeholders (Methodology, Product, Data Governance, Screening & Controversies, Sales, Client Success), and active involvement with external stakeholders through product-related communications and contributions to the Thought Leadership program.
Core responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Managing the production of all Sovereign Research products/solutions with a strong focus on quality management and process enhancement.
- Contributing to methodology enhancements in consultation with internal stakeholders.
- Managing a team of Analysts, including training, oversight, development, and capacity planning.
- Supporting Sales and Client Success in their marketing/business development efforts.
- Contributing to the Thought Leadership program by providing content/insights/data.
Qualifications and skills
- ESG/sustainability experience.
- Sovereign research experience.
- 5+ years of work experience.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong quantitative/analytical skills, critical thinking, and excellent attention to detail.
- Leadership and managerial skills required.
- English speaking skills required.
- Experience in Microsoft Office.
