Job Title: Tools Governance and Packaging Lead
Duration: 12 month contract
Location: Melbourne - 3 days a week on site required

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead to oversee the procurement, packaging, and distribution and management zone of Enterprise Tools to users within our organization. This role is critical to ensuring that our teams have access to the necessary tools and software to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively. The lead will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of enterprise tools, from acquisition to deployment, ensuring that all processes adhere to industry standards and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities: Procurement : Lead the procurement process for enterprise tools, including software and hardware, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget constraints. Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms, ensuring the best value for the organization. Evaluate and select tools that align with the organization's needs and technological infrastructure. Stay up-to-date with industry trends to recommend the latest and most effective tools for the organization.
Packaging: Develop and maintain standardized packaging processes for enterprise tools, ensuring they are configured and customized to meet the specific needs of different user groups. Work closely with IT teams to automate the packaging process, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors. Create detailed documentation and guides for the packaging process, ensuring consistency and ease of deployment.
Distribution: Manage the distribution of enterprise tools to users across the organization, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Oversee the deployment of tools, including installation, configuration, and user training. Monitor and troubleshoot distribution issues, providing support to users and resolving any problems that arise. Maintain an accurate inventory of tools and licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and avoiding unnecessary expenditures.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, security, finance, and end-users, to understand their needs and ensure that enterprise tools are meeting those needs effectively. Provide expert advice and recommendations to senior management on tool selection, procurement strategies, and process improvements. Act as a liaison between the organization and external vendors, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the procurement, packaging, and distribution processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the user experience and streamline operations. Conduct regular reviews of tools and processes, identifying opportunities for upgrades, replacements, or process enhancements.
Job Qualifications (Must Have Skills) Must be an Australian Citizen, and a security clearance is required. Experience in procurement, packaging, and distribution of enterprise tools or similar roles. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, software packaging, and IT distribution methods Proficiency in software management tools and platforms. Knowledge of licensing agreements and compliance requirements
