Core Responsibilities
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
- Assist with month-end closing.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits.

The Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant will become part of the established support department mainly covering Americas but not limited to global support. The AP Accountant supports processes within the BSO department and in collaboration with different partners within the LEGO group.
The Accountant contributes to the overall success of the BSO and LEGO strategies by delivering high-quality execution and great service experience supporting the Procure to Pay processes aligned to the LEGO procedures and policies
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business Administration, Business Affairs or similar.
- 3-5 years experience in Procure to Pay functions
- IT skills o Microsoft Office at intermediate level.
- SAP knowledge preferably, or other ERP.
- Analytical, detail - and high-quality oriented
- High customer service approach
- Experience in working in highly collaborative environments
- Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Accountant.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a curiosity about numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in reading / writing / speaking English.
