Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree: or Associate with coursework in business math, bookkeeping, and accounting.
Role
Under the general supervision of the bookkeeper, the assistant bookkeeper is responsible for assisting the bookkeeper in the following tasks: maintaining a complete set of records for all financial transactions; balancing books; preparing trail balances; maintaining checking and bank accounts; and preparing statistical and tax records.
Responsibilities
- To assist the bookkeeper in the following:
- Keeping a complete set of financial records including cash receipts, cash disbursements, general ledger, subsidiary ledger, and general journal.
- Balancing books and compiling statistical reports
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliation and trial balances
- Calculation payroll, preparing paychecks and other pertinent records
- Preparing calculations for payroll taxes
- Preparing and submitting monthly invoices and bi-monthly reports
- Maintaining petty cash and contribution records and funds
QUALIFICATIONS:
Language: Speak, read, and write English frequently
Education: BS in Accounting or similar field or requisite year of experience
Experience: Must have a minimum of two (2) years as an IT manager
Salary: $42,000 - $45,000.
Other: Must be alert, pleasant, discreet, and professional both in attire and attitude
