Business Development Manager – Semiconductor Markets
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager based in heavy SEMI region (OR, CA, AZ, ID, TX, upstate NY) to accelerate market share and revenue growth for JEOL’s semiconductor and electronics product line. In this role, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and develop strategic partnerships to expand our presence in the semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sales Team to accelerate revenue growth by identifying semiconductor market segments suitable for JEOL's solutions and developing marketing plans and sales strategies to develop a total product offering and establish JEOL as the preferred brand of the semiconductor and electronics industries
- Leverage professional networks to generate and develop new business opportunities in the semiconductor industry. Identify decision makers and nurture Key Opinion Leaders (KOL)
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers
- Effectively articulate complex concepts utilizing a value selling approach
- Identify and track industry trends and translate them into instrument sales
- Support the sales team by identifying opportunities, nurturing leads, and interpreting lost opportunity information. Analyze relevant input and intelligence to flow forward into the strategic planning process
- Identify and educate salesmen concerning JEOL's capabilities to enhance and add value to customers
- Work with the applications team to understand instrument performance and advantages as compared to the competition
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and potential growth areas to advise JEOL USA and JEOL LTD management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Science or related field
- 5+ years sales or business development experience working for a semiconductor equipment manufacturer in a position responsible for developing and maintaining sales and business relationships with top tier semi manufacturers (Intel, Samsung, TSMC, Micron, TI, SK Hynix, Nvidia, Qualcomm, AMD, Broadcom) and/or equipment manufacturers (Applied Materials, Tokyo Electron (TEL), Lam Research, ASML, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful business relationships
- Knowledge of semiconductor products and technologies
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- The position requires up to 50% domestic and some international travel to meet with clients and attend industry events
- A valid driver’s license and passport are required
