Overview
The Junior Cyclotron-Support Engineer I is a training position with dual responsibilities to the Cyclotron-Support Engineer duties and the Network Operations Group within a SOFIE radiopharmacy. This training program provides readiness to become responsible for the front-line maintenance, routine checks, set-up, and operation of all PET manufacturing equipment at the facility. This includes cyclotrons, radiosynthesizers, manipulator arms, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Operate cyclotron(s), radiosynthesizers, and QC equipment per operating procedures.
§ Perform routine, non-routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on the cyclotron.
§ Participate in inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting with senior Service personnel.
§ Complete Service tickets, time cards, and expense reports in a timely matter.
§ Maintain a clean, clutter free work and production area.
§ Aid in the implementation of all approved SOP changes with regards to the production and QC process.
§ Provide operation coverage up to but no more than 50% of your time, when required by schedule for cyclotron, chemistry modules, and QC equipment.
§ Other tasks as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications
§ Associates Degree in a Technical Discipline preferred or HS diploma with 1-2 years of experience servicing capital equipment required.
§ Knowledge of basic cGMP practices and procedures preferred.
§ Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings preferred.
§ Knowledge of basic electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscope, and antenna analyzers) required.
§ Excellent communication skills, ability to be detail-oriented, and dependability required.
§ Occupational exposure to ionizing radiation required.
§ Experience with Microsoft Suite required.
§ Ability to lift 50 lbs required.
§ Travel: up to 10% required.
