Position Summary
The Technology Engagement Manager advises and implements best-of-breed and custom technology solutions for legal, compliance, and business operation transformation projects, working closely with corporate in-house teams and law firm clients. The successful candidate will lead engagement efforts by driving transformation initiatives, recommending industry-leading practices, technology, and delivering tailored solutions that align with clients' specific objectives.
This is a critical hybrid role encompassing sales engineering, engagement management, service delivery, operations, and network engineering. This position serves as the primary in-house and law firm client liaison for special and custom technology projects, requiring hands-on operational involvement (from project scoping to managing final deliverables) and ensuring the highest standards of technical and business service delivery across diverse client projects.
Additionally, the Technology Engagement Manager is responsible for optimizing contract management solutions by leveraging deep industry knowledge and technical expertise to enhance contract database management systems and processes. The candidate will spearhead efforts to implement, maintain, and innovate contract management practices that support the strategic goals of the organization and deliver robust, scalable solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
A critical aspect of this role involves establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external development teams to effectively service custom development projects and ensure alignment with client expectations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Serve as the lead advisor for corporate in-house teams and law firm clients on legal, compliance, and business operations transformation projects.
- Use independent judgment and discretion to advise and implement best-of-breed and custom solutions to drive transformation initiatives for clients.
- Ensure the highest quality of technical and business service delivery.
- Provide direct oversight and administration of projects and accounts.
- Advocate for client service requirements, promoting an "outside-in" perspective.
- Leverage an expert understanding of Gravity Stack services, including contract management, to advocate solutions effectively to clients.
- Facilitate communication between customers, business executives, technical experts, and development teams to ensure consistent and quality service delivery.
- Lead internal and customer-facing calls, demonstrations, and presentations in collaboration with partners and development teams.
- Analyze client data to deliver insights and results, ensuring projects align with client needs and are executed timely.
- Manage project resources, scope, schedule, and budget, maintaining detailed project plans.
- Regularly communicate project statuses and coordinate with other departments and development teams to ensure smooth transitions and processes.
- Utilize knowledge of Generative AI (Gen AI) to deliver innovative solutions.
- Independently develop strategic client materials and assist with business development through proposal writing and project scoping.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal and external development teams to support custom development projects and initiatives.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Economics, System Engineering, Business Management/Administration, or a relevant field. Certifications in Relativity or similar platforms preferred.
Experience:
- 7+ years of consulting experience in technology or strategic management, with a proven track record in contract management and operations.
- Experience with technologies such as Jira, Cloud platforms, Contract Management Applications Such as Relativity Contracts, Evisort, Agiloft, or Contract Pod AI, Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft suite applications.
- Extensive project management experience, including managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Understanding of Generative AI (Gen AI) technologies and their applications in real-world scenarios.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing stakeholder relationships and project timelines.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and analytically in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment.
- Knowledge of market trends and technology advancements in contract management platforms and their applications within business processes.
Skills:

Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods, intense eye usage, and finger, hand and wrist dexterity associated with prolonged computer use.

- Ability to read and interpret written documents, computer screens and other visual displays accurately.
- Ability to work long days and/or firm holidays as required.
Working Conditions: You will be required to work in the office at minimum 3 days per week. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule. The details of your weekly schedule will be discussed further with your direct supervisor.
Pay Ranges: This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith’s pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
- Pittsburgh / Miami / Texas: $140,000 – $225,000
- Chicago / Philadelphia: $150,000 - $225,000
- Washington DC / Princeton NJ: $161,000 - $225,000
- New York: $166,000 - $225,000
- LA/San Francisco: $175,000 - $225,000
