JOB DESCRIPTION
- The Digital Forensic Investigative Specialist defines, develops, and/or implements Technology Controls / Information Security related policies, programs, tools, and provides specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps, and providing security solutions to mitigate risks and protect the Bank.
- Participates on projects of moderate to high complexity and provides complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional, business line or enterprise level for own area.
- They also ARE NOT looking for someone with a law enforcement background .
Mission: To protect Client from cyber threats and insider risks, manages evidence collection, and collaborates with teams to uphold security standards
Day to day :
- Work within a skilled team conducting complex investigations across North America.
- Manage digital forensics for eDiscovery, employee investigations, and security incidents, including IP theft and insider threats.
- Collect, process, and analyze electronic data from various sources in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to analyze digital evidence and conduct cyber investigations.
- Develop and apply new methods to reduce risk, and support Client management with guidance on security standards.
- Lead complex projects as an expert in technology controls, security, and risk management.
- Could be potentially on call
Must haves :
- Bachelor's degree
- Information security certification / accreditation an asset
- 5+ years in cyber forensics, incident response, or information security Splunk
- AWS/ Azure
- MS Azure
- Computer Forensic background
- EnCase
- Background in information security operations, like incident response and security management
- Familiar with tools like Anti-Virus, IronPort, and Data Loss Prevention.
