Cloud is a key strategic focus for the digital organization at the LEGO Group, and we are looking for a new colleague to join this exciting journey and evolve our cloud financial management services.
We are looking for a FinOps specialist to help us operate and mature our FinOps capability during an 11-month cover starting from February 2025. We help our LEGO® engineers accelerate financially responsible cloud usage in their daily tasks and improve efficiency.
The FinOps capability is centrally placed in IT to affect cloud governance and policy. We are seeing growth of the Cloud platform and are looking to deliver the best FinOps services for our engineering colleagues, finance, and management.
Core Responsibilities
Our Cloud FinOps function focuses primarily on helping other teams in our digital organization adopt and use cloud responsibly using FinOps governance, models, and tools. As a FinOps specialist you will:
- Make recommendations for and make our Cloud usage commitments across AWS and Azure Cloud services based on monthly usage analyses and ensuring approval from finance.
- Own and implement our commitments strategy in collaboration with your FinOps colleagues.
- Engage with product teams and advise to help rightsize Cloud usage together with FinOps colleagues.
- Support finance and product teams with budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses together with FinOps colleagues.
- Identify and facilitate opportunities to optimize for value-based decision-making and make plans to realize savings.
- Analyse, report, and produce meaningful and practical insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools.
- Contribute to a fluent and efficient procurement process including creating purchase orders (PO’s).
- Proactively improve processes and practices.
- Liaise with external vendors and host frequent data-driven vendor meetings in close collaboration with internal colleagues.

Our FinOps team consists of 5 team members and a Lead Engineer who sets our direction. We have a very open and honest, collaborative, and fun atmosphere with a high degree of integrity. Do you have what it takes?
To succeed in this role, you most likely have a financial, IT, procurement and/or data background. You may have financial experience working with FinOps practices and Cloud providers or you are data or financially savvy and want to get into the exciting world of cloud financial management services.
As a FinOps Specialist, you:
- are highly organized, meticulous and diligent.
- can break down large amounts of data, find anomalies and trends.
- have experience with PowerBI and cloud knowledge would be a plus.
- get energy from a mix of deep diving into data and numbers and collaborating with various internal and external partners.
- are a cool and fun person to be around and you are passionate about what you do!
