SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Accessibility Manager position is responsible for advancing support for Amtrak and its statutorily mandated compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), to include stations, mechanical, training. Collect data and documents to support monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual reports to various entities, internal and external to Amtrak. The incumbent will be a key part of communicating the Corporation’s efforts to comply with the ADA and ensure compliance in all areas This role will interact with representatives from the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Railway Association (FRA) and other groups.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Develop and maintain documents to support all accessibility activities.
· Prepare semi-annual reports for the DOJ as required by the Settlement agreement.
· Assemble documents form other departments for a monthly distribution to the ELT.
· Work with the Director to enhance relations with staff for national and key state/local disability organizations.
· Document and maintain meeting minutes from various meetings that are held; bi-monthly ADA EOC, quarterly meetings, etc.
· Assist the Director in preparing materials for ADA EOC meetings.
· Participate in FRA monthly, and quarterly meetings to review ADA stations, PIDS and ABT updates.
· Maintain database and conference calendar of key organizations/contacts.
· Perform additional tasks and assignments as directed by the Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
· Strong communication skills, including experience in making presentations to senior management, and third parties.
· Strong focus on collaboration, and customer service
· Demonstrated skill running effective meetings and obtaining buy-in and participation from leaders.
· Effectiveness working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives and priorities.
· Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels.
· Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project), MS SharePoint.
· Must have work authorization in the United States.
· Demonstrated experience communicating orally and in writing with the corporation and externally.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate others; effective writing, presentation, meeting, and facilitation skills; interpersonal communication; time management; and conflict resolution and investigation skills.
· Demonstrated experience communicating orally and in writing with the corporation and externally.
· Demonstrated experience simultaneously managing multiple projects and/or programs using appropriate administrative tools and controls.
· Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· 7+ years’ experience preferred.
· Graduate degree in related field.
· Demonstrated ability to build consensus among internal and external stakeholders with diverse interests, including stakeholders in both public and private sectors.
· Demonstrated ability to understand detailed planning, architecture and engineering issues while simultaneously understanding how those issues relate to the situation, and surrounding influences.
· Transportation industry experience is a plus.
· ADA knowledge and experience is a plus.

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The salary/hourly range is $113,200-$146,664. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
