Job Overview
Responsible for general janitorial upkeep of office and OR setting, maintaining sterile instrument supply, coordinating general maintenance, ordering supplies, stocking work areas.
Salary:
$18.50 per hour
Status
Full time, Monday-Friday, 8am-430pm
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Associates degree or higher in Life Sciences or related field preferred.
Experience:
Experience in a healthcare, sterile processing, or supply management field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with sterile processing desired.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry required.
- Must have a valid NYS driver’s license.
- Must have professional appearance and demeanor.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Clean, wrap and sterilize instruments according to specifications. Maintain and operate autoclave and perform required biological indicator testing as necessary.
2. Perform daily lab maintenance according to established maintenance calendars while ensuring all records are complete and accurate.
3. Order and rotate supplies to ensure all necessary supplies are maintained at sufficient levels and not expired. Follow supply receipt and inspection procedure for all supplies and maintain documentation.
4. Ensure that all department areas are kept clean and orderly.
5. Schedule equipment maintenance as required. Properly maintain all equipment files and maintenance records.
6. Pack supply bags and coolers for offsite cases, as needed.
7. Maintain master label file and update as necessary.
8. Maintain adequate number and sizes of scrubs, gowns, lab towels and other laundry and supply items necessary for cases.
9. Maintain hazardous waste tracking files.
10. In coordination with management, assist in the training of staff on instrument decontamination and general operation of the autoclave.
11. Complete quarterly cleaning and safety documentation as needed.
12. Perform post recovery tissue responsibilities such as, packaging and shipping of tissue.
13. Works closely with site supervisor and facilities to ensure all building and vehicle maintenance needs are addressed and resolved.
14. Assist management and quality in performing necessary validations, verifications, and/or IQOQPQs of applicable critical equipment.
15. Concisely and professionally maintain open lines of communication through collaboration with ConnectLife’s internal departments and external business partners.
