About SIR
The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) is a thriving professional medical society dedicated to optimizing patient care and improving lives through minimally invasive, image-guided treatments. Located in Fairfax, Virginia, SIR represents one of the most innovative, exciting, and competitive specialties in medicine today. SIR is a 501(c)(6) professional association that supports nearly 9,000 interventional radiology physicians, trainees, medical students, scientists, and clinical professionals. Position Summary
This position will support SIR's ongoing website and digital strategy transformation. Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Web Strategy, the Associate will help coordinate SIR's new analytics strategy and work collaboratively to implement the overall vision and roadmap for SIR's websites.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assist with development and reporting of key performance indicators as outlined in SIR's success measurement framework.
Work with web vendor and team to ensure accuracy of web analytics data by continually monitoring site and program tracking and implementation.
Use knowledge of web analytics and search engine optimization (SEO) to help maximize search rankings and analyze user engagement.
Work cross-functionally to gather user feedback.
Make recommendations and suggest areas for improvement and optimization.
Secondary Functions and Responsibilities
As a web team member, assist with staff web requests and training. Act as support for content editing and governance as needed.
Attend workshops and webinars as necessary.
Keep current on Google Analytics and related tools as well as any digital technologies adopted by SIR.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Working knowledge of digital monitoring and analytics tools, including Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, and SEMRush.
• Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO).
• Experience working in Enterprise Content Management Systems, similar to Umbraco, Optimizely, Sitefinity, etc. Some experience with HTML is a plus.
• Knowledge of Google Ads, A/B testing a plus.
• Ability to self-direct work, understand instructions and deliver work that complies with established guidelines.
• Works well independently but participates actively as a team member. Can collaborate with a variety of functional groups and communicate constructively with others.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/certification and experience
Experience:
• Minimum of two to four years of relevant work experience, including web analytics and search engine optimization. Google Analytics 4 certification a plus.
Location Requirements:
SIR is not considering applicants outside of these states at this time: CO, DC, FL, IL, KS, MA, MD, MI, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Small, fast paced open office environment with moderate noise levels. Use of phones and computers for extended periods of time. Utilize office equipment and communication technologies for conference calls and teleconference meetings/webinars. Requires general mobility to move through the facility. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent interaction with internal staff and physician members/board via phone, in person, email and other mediums. Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment. Some travel required primarily for Annual Meeting and other organization events.
