Job Purpose:
Obtains raw product for processing by supervising staff; procuring raw product; building relationships with growers.
Duties:
* Accomplishes field services staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
* Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
* Develops positive image of organization by explaining capabilities and performance; establishing and maintaining communications with growers, warehouses, and industry; developing and conducting public relations campaigns.
* Focuses advertising and merchandising programs by providing information and analysis of market from growers' point of view.
* Locates and enlists new growers by contacting potential suppliers; presenting and explaining value of relationship.
* Determines amount of product available for processing by studying production and trends; obtaining information from growers, warehouses, and industry sources.
* Procures raw product by negotiating contracts; specifying quality.
* Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
