Funko is a purveyor of pop culture, making and selling license-focused collectibles. We’re based in Everett, WA where we have a store that delights kids of all ages (kids at heart included). We currently hold hundreds of licenses for franchises ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter, giving us the rights to create tens of thousands of characters—one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. We take your favorite characters and turn them into adorable, or sometimes scary, collectible figures. Our most famous line, Pop! Vinyl, has millions of fans around the world
The Asset Protection Agent supports general operations throughout the Funko HQ Retail store. This position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, buildings, employees, customers, and all visitors. This position may provide support across HQ and the Retail store.
Hours are: 9:15 - 6:45 PM - Weekends required
Your Superpowers in Action
- Secure Funko facilities, products, physical assets, and intellectual property
- Line Control inside and outside of the store.
- Monitor traffic flow in and out of the store and keeping daily counts
- Patrol the sales floor and report any suspicious behavior.
- Assist guests in the store with any questions they may have or locate a sales associate for an answer.
- Patrol the floor and report any trash or clean ups that may be needed in each section including the restrooms.
- Report any hazarders that may be cause for someone to hurt themselves, includes trip hazarders, wet floors etc.
- Assist in performing video surveillance of the interior and exterior of the premise when needed.
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards; perform building unlock/lock-down
- Enforce company and department rules and policies; uphold city and state laws as applicable
- Maintain confidentiality in the collection, investigation, and reporting of all incidents and Funko property
- Protect interior property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
- Effectively communicate with 911 and emergency responders to report suspicious activity and emergency incidents
- Provide security escorts as requested
- Respond to and verify visitor requests for entry to Headquarters, providing entry or guidance when needed
- Provide assistance to employees, customers, and visitors following the department's procedures in a courteous and professional manner
- Assume an active role in raising employee safety and security awareness
Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry
- 1 or more years of prior security or military field experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of safety and security standards or loss prevention practices, and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail, observation, and recall skills
- Clear verbal and written communication skills required; Incident report writing preferred
- Maintain professionalism and composure when dealing with an unusual, difficult, or stressful situation
- Respond to situations in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency
- Able to maintain confidentiality regarding employee, and visitor incidents and security matters.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance to meet company standards and represent the company positively
- Availability to work days, weekends, including holidays and special events. Including the possibility of working back to back shifts
- Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods of time while maintaining radio communication with staff.
Salary Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $16.90 - $18.75 hourly. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
