Estate Planning Paralegal
We are seeking an experienced paralegal with a strong background in estate planning to join a highly regarded firm with a recognized trust and estates practice group. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to support multiple attorneys. Paralegals are expected to work independently and see tasks through from start to finish with excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing probate estate and trust administration documentation.
- Preparing trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, deeds, and related documentation.
- Communicating with clients regarding trust and probate estate administration processes.
- Communications with clients, court personnel, and other third-parties
- Educating clients on the estate planning process, probate procedures, and other legal matters related to their specific situation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5 years of experience with an estate planning and probate/estate administration.
- Paralegal Certificate or degree in paralegal studies
- Extremely detail oriented and effective organizational abilities
- Strong work ethic and professionalism
- Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of our team
- Strong computer skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
