What You'll Be Doing- Responsible for various areas relating to financial reporting, including working with an independent registered public accounting firm to ensure that the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (U.S. GAAP) and SEC Regulations.
- Responsible for assigned areas in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing process and reporting.
- Preparation of journal entries including, but not limited to the following areas such as fixed assets, prepaid, accounts payable review, accruals and accounts receivable and respective reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Review general ledger details for proper classification, cut-off, and completeness.
- Analyze and assist in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
- Participate in monthly reporting, quarterly SEC filings, quarterly reviews, year-end audits, and advising management on complex transactions from an accounting perspective.
- Requires significant interaction with individuals internal and external to the organization, including senior management, independent auditors and other service providers.
- Requires the ability to research accounting guidance and interpret transactions in a clear and concise manner for multiple audiences.
- Requires the ability to acquire and appropriately apply knowledge of the following accounting functions:
What You Need to Bring to the Table: - Bachelor's degree with major in accounting.
- 4+ years of progressive experience.
- CPA is highly preferred with experience in public accounting and auditing.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Extensive experience in month-end closing either from preparation or auditing standpoint.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity to be able to adhere to regulations and its total compliance.
- Effective planning and organizational skills; results oriented; and possess the ability to competently manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Commitment to positive teamwork and high level of attention to detail.
