SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) Location: London Type: Full-time Flexible Working Options Available (50% Home 50% Office Based) We are seeking a highly skilled SDET to join our Application Development team. This role focuses on improving the testability, reliability, and quality of our application portfolio while contributing to the development of robust testing frameworks and strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development with a focus on test automation and integration. Key Responsibilities: Adapt and enhance existing applications to improve their testability and ensure they meet quality standards. Develop bespoke integration tests for third-party systems to validate system interactions. Increase test coverage across the application suite to ensure low-incident releases. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement an effective, forward-thinking test strategy. Contribute to system migrations, ensuring a seamless transition to testable and scalable platforms as part of a broader data strategy project. Document testing processes and decisions to support team alignment and knowledge sharing. Share knowledge and mentor team members to promote best practices in testing and development. Required Skills and Experience: Strong programming skills, with hands-on experience in Python, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET, PowerShell, and HTML5. Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code. Experience with cloud platforms and data systems (familiarity with Azure is advantageous). Understanding of financial systems, preferably with experience in asset management or buy-side organisations. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and agile development methodologies.
