Description
Position Objective
The major objective of this position is to help develop both inbound and outbound licensing sales, including implementing new ideas and tools for the company. This position will implement new contracts and help oversee the day-to-day operations of our Licensor partnerships
Primary Responsibilities
- Pursue rights holders to secure new licenses for publishing and product lines as well as manage ongoing licensing agreements.
- Manage company owned and represented intellectual property rights with active and perspective licensees. This includes coordinating approvals and reviews of all proposals, and product and book stages from concept to final manufactured samples with all respective rights holders
- Assist the VP of Business Development with the formation of business relationships and negotiation of contracts with new and existing Licensors.
- Participate in meetings and high-level decision-making activities of the organization to provide guidance and direction regarding licensing projects.
- Serve as a liaison between this department and other departments within the company.
- Coordinate the planning, development and evaluation of goals and objectives for all functions reporting to the VP of Business Development.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, potential clients, vendors and staff to promote the company and its mission.
- Supports policies, goals and objectives of equity and diversity.
- Manage multiple business initiatives simultaneously.
Associate Responsibilities
- Ensure best practices are effectively being utilized and executed in driving a highly efficient licensing sales and acquisition process.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.

- Ability to read, understand, and make suggested edits to licensing agreements
- Well-rounded knowledge of the company in order to effectively carry out required duties
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiating skills.
- Must possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to negotiate with vendors or sales contacts
- Comprehensive problem-solving and excellent analytic capability
- Excellent observation, organizational and planning skills
- Pre-established relationships and knowledge of industry contacts

Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Broad exposure to professional licensing in the publishing, entertainment and electronic gaming industries
- Minimum of five years experience leading high-performing teams
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (or equivalency)
- Previous project management or business development experience
- Should be well versed in Office suite programs, including Excel and presentation programs. MAC OS systems experience a plus
- Overnight, out-of-town travel required at times
Salary Description
$75,000 - $110,000
