TITLE:Principal Systems Engineer
LOCATION:Washington, D.C. and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. (remote position)
DUTIES:Develops high quality Salesforce applications by analyzing requirements; providing technical design and development; and supporting testing and deployment following Agile development methodology. Works with customers, business analysts, and team members to evaluate the business requirements and design quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and IT strategies and in compliance with the organization’s architectural standards. Creates technical design specifications and assists in sizing technical requirements. Ensures that the design and application implementation meet security and Quality Assurance (QA) standards. Evaluates existing applications and platform and provides recommendations for system enhancements by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of modifications. Defines, develops, or modifies Salesforce application modules using disciplined development processes. Ensures delivery of high-quality Salesforce applications follow application architecture standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Makes modules production-ready by following established DevOps processes and tools to ensure clean Production Deployment. Provides ongoing support of applications.
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field followed by six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Principal Systems Engineer or any occupation related to Software Development. Must also have three (3) years of experience: (1) Developing applications on Service Cloud with minimal customization and maximized declarative; (2) Developing Community Cloud applications for external customers with no comprise to security and limiting only needed objects and fields exposed externally; (3) Reviewing all aspects of Force.com, Lightning Container, Lightning UX Builder, Lightning Flow including Process Builder and Cloud Flow Designer, Platform Events, Async REST, Sync REST, and Continuation Framework (integration), Salesforce DX (dev hub) in developing robust and scalable solutions on Salesforce Platform; (4) Using Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, Data Architecture and Management Designer, and Integration Architecture domains; and (5) Developing in Salesforce Visualforce, Apex, SOQL/ SOSL, Wave, and Einstein Analytics; and (6) Performing Salesforce administration, including security, sandbox provisioning, backup and restore. Must also have one (1) year of experience: (7) Developing robust DevOps processes using BitBucket or Jenkins and/or using tools such as Copado or Flosum; and (8) Developing utilities for Applications and System Administrators to simplify Metadata updates. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Remote work permitted in accordance with standard company policy. All positions require pre-employment background check verification and a pre-employment drug screen.
SALARY:$165,173 per year
