Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Strategy:
- Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to support the company's overall business objectives.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational and project needs
- Manage banking relationships, including negotiating credit facilities and loan agreements.
- Identify and capitalize on investment opportunities, including land acquisition and project financing.
- Implement robust financial controls and risk management procedures.
Project Finance:
- Analyze project feasibility and profitability, conducting due diligence on land acquisition and development costs.
- Secure project financing through a mix of equity and debt, negotiating favorable terms with lenders.
- Manage project budgets and monitor expenditures, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee project accounting, including cost control, progress billing, and revenue recognition.
Cost Management:
- Implement cost-effective strategies across all areas of the business.
- Negotiate favorable pricing with suppliers and contractors.
- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for savings.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost management
Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns.
- Stay informed of changes in tax legislation and adapt company practices accordingly.
- Oversee compliance with other regulatory requirements, such as BIR, SEC, and DHSUD.
Management Information Systems (MIS):
- Oversee the company's financial systems and technology, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Implement and manage integrated financial software for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends and support strategic decision-making.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, preferably with Masters degree
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least years in a leadership role within the real estate development industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing the financial operations of a real estate development company.
- Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws, financial standards and regulations.
- Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership qualities, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
