Description
Imagination is a global experience design company, founded on the principle of independent creativity. Our live event offering creates big ideas that harness culture to make brands more relevant. Event logistics is an integral team within our Live Production multi-discipline department of experts in their fields. This role will lead event logistics, both within a project team on a diverse range of projects and collaborate on larger, more complex scopes of work. The role will oversee the day-to-day planning and successful delivery of flagship events. This will include proposals, budgets, schedules and onsite project delivery. The role will be client-facing and will include maintaining existing and building new client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in developing project proposals, write effective, compelling project briefs, presentations and working documents.
- Develop timelines and deliver project detail by working closely with relevant third-party suppliers.
- Maintain and develop both client and third-party supplier relationships.
- Support in the successful onsite management and delivery of events, ensuring projects reflect briefs and meet objectives.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Willing and able to travel internationally for work, and from time to time work unsociable hours (including weekends) for extended periods.
- Fulfilling the role in compliance with company policies and procedures, for example (but not limited to) ISO documentation and Information Security training.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience in global corporate events and a proven understanding of the events and exhibitions industry.
- Current knowledge of the events industry; hotels, venues, caterers, transportation, entertainment etc.
- First-hand experience of ‘off the shelf’ and bespoke delegate management systems.
- Supporting in the creation of scheduling and itinerary documentation.
- Knowledge of working with third-party suppliers e.g. promotional staff, freelancers, DMCs, venues, transport suppliers.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of multi-channel communications.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise work and deliver under pressure.
- Understanding of consolidating project costs and budgetary control.
- Ability to write accurate and timely contact reports and brief internal teams.
- Flexible and adaptable to new challenges and requirements and committed to learn and grow.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a creative mind.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google documents and PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of information security and business systems, GDPR.
- Fluency in additional European Languages would be a significant benefit.
- Previous experience of working in the Automotive Events Industry would be a significant benefit.
