Job Summary
The Buildings, Operations & Production Coordinator will work closely with the Theatre Team Manager and the Technical & Production Manager to provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day activity within the building.
Job Description
The Building, Operations & Production Coordinator will be a predominantly office-based, administrative role at three days per week. The Coordinator will act as a key communication point between producers, operations, theatre and technical teams, and other stakeholders such as building contractors. Excellent communication and administrative skills are essential.
This role would suit anyone interested in production, production management, operations or general management in theatre. This is an entry-mid level position, and we are not expecting you to have years of experience. This could be suitable for a graduate. Rather, we are looking for someone with a keen interest in developing a career in production management, general management or theatre operational management.
Job Requirements
- An enthusiasm for the arts, in particular fringe theatre
- Experience in technical theatre, Stage Management or Duty Management
- An understanding of the production process, including get in, fit ups & technical rehearsals
- Friendly and approachable
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially in high-pressure situations such as mid-show technical faults
- Organised, self-motivated and reliable
- Confident in- and motivated by administrative work
- Experience in using Google Drive
- Having exemplary organisational skills
- Experience in technical theatre equipment maintenance
- PAT testing Training
- Experience in stage and/or production managing
- Basic maintenance & building experience
- Basic Knowledge of show control networking / OSC / Digital Sound Mixing, DANTE and video projection are an advantage
- Basic working knowledge of ETC EOS lighting control systems and QLab
