Job Description
Join LEGO® Manufacturing Vietnam and play a crucial role in optimizing our state-of-the-art packing production, drive continuous improvement while contributing to the production of the world's most iconic toys.
*This position will be mainly based in our temporary training facility at Eastern International University (Binh Duong) and requires frequent travelling to our future factory in VSIP3, Tan Uyen (Binh Duong). Relocation to our factory is expected from early 2025. Transportation will be provided from HCMC, Bien Hoa & Binh Duong.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee, assess and analyze current production methods.
Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs.
Remove waste from the processes.
Study, design and implement Poka Yoke where possible to prevent errors.
Study and implement PDCA to maximize productivity of machinery and workers.
Suggest improvement idea to increase speed and efficiency of processes. Ensure all steps of production run efficiently.
Develop and implement measuring methods for quality control.
Study and develop procedures for safety improvement.
Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.). Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
Estimate costs and prepare budgets for the project. Write reports and present progress at project meetings.
Educate, train technicians and operators on proper methods to operate machinery.
Organise plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time.
Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement.
Report down time and possible trends. Manage statistical data of machine performance for analysis. Investigate production and process issues, providing technical support.
Responsible for cooperating actively with other LEGO sites. Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs.
Actively communicate with department’s staff and provide constructive feedback.
Communicate with other departments, suppliers, and service providers.

This position is designed to be key person of the LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam Packing’s production, driving for productivity improvements, reduce waste, improve safety and quality, reduce operating costs, optimize production processes for maximum efficiency.
The main challenges is to support the Operation, have high flexibility managing the demand, ensure the right capabilities of the team members, and maintain control of budget.
Do you have what it takes?
Prefer candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree or above majoring in Industrial Engineering/ Industrial Systems Engineering/ Industrial Management/ Global Production Management or equivalent
Good command of English
Prefer candidates with a minimum of 3-year experience in industrial engineering, process engineering, manufacturing engineering
Ability to design processes and layout. Understand LEAN manufacturing.
Experience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Kaizen continuous improvement, problem solving, process improvement and Poka Yoke technique.
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Understanding of production costs, including waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work.
Analytical skills. Planning and prioritizing activities. Attention to detail.
Interpersonal skills: demonstrate a high level of collaboration, teamwork, proactive and service attitude, high level of personal and professional ethics.
Previous experience working for a multinational company that understands the value of working in a Diverse environment.
Creative and innovative.
Able to travel as parts of the work (including overseas trips).
