Job Description: Shifts: (2) Openings - (1) Day Shift (Full-Time) 8am-7:30pm - (1) Night Shift ( Full-Time) 7:30pm-8am Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision & 401k General Summary: An EMT/AEMT Security Officer's purpose is to preserve life and property, in that order. We preserve life and property through emergency medical response, basic life support, vital sign measurements, first aid, lift assists, video surveillance, exterior/interior patrols, daily wellness checks, proper canine handling and radio communication. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Maintaining EMT/AEMT certification • Capable of performing duties of the on scene primary caregiver • Assessing patients conditions and responsiveness to interventions • Assessing nature and extent of emergency situations and need for additional assistance • Mitigating incidents by helping to control crowds, protecting valuables • Assisting other emergency medical personnel with administering Advanced Life Support • Assisting any persons in building or grounds needing direction or campus information • Proper documentation of all medical incidents • Obtaining refusals when applicable • Proper canine handling for deterrent purposes • Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances • Act lawfully in direct defense of life and property • Immediately report security breaches to designated law enforcement agents • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences • Report in detail any suspicious incidents • Patrol building and perimeter randomly and regularly • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment • Assessing nature and extent of emergency situations and need for additional assistance • Mitigating incidents by helping to control crowds, protecting valuables • Assisting any persons in building or grounds needing direction or campus information • Perform tasks assigned to you by Shift Leads/Head of Security efficiently without issue Qualifications: • At least 1 year of Security experience • High School diploma, GED or suitable equivalent • Ability to operate CCTV systems, security software and emergency equipment • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols • Surveillance skills and detail orientation • Integrity and professionalism PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: This job may require lifting of objects that exceed 50-75lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10lbs.
