Position Summary:
Special Olympics North America is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our grant administration and operations team. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in grant management and administration, supporting the team in various tasks and projects. The intern will work closely with the Manager, Operations, and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of grant-related activities
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist with grant-funded personnel tasks and systems, including monthly staff timesheets and consultant invoices
• Assist in the review of all expenses charged to federal funding sources by prime award and subaward recipients
• Maintain accurate and organized records of grant documents for reporting and audit purposes
• Assist with data migration from various systems into new central database for Unified Champion Schools
• Help with the coordination of meetings, workshops, and events related to grant administration
• Provide general administrative support to the grant administration team as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in a related field such as public administration, nonprofit management, or business administration
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Smartsheet preferred
• Interest in grant management and nonprofit work is a plus
