About the role
We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to oversee our payroll processes outside of the US. You will provide strategic direction related to any changes to how we manage payroll. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global payroll regulation, compliance and processing. You will manage our international payroll vendors and relationships, lead an upcoming international payroll implementation and other projects across multiple locations internationally, in addition to driving end-to-end payroll processing efficiencies, innovation, and compliance. As the Senior Payroll Specialist, you will influence important decisions in the implementation process and ensure that all global Crunchyroll employees will be paid both accurately and timely.
You will:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for employees across multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions
- Lead the implementation of international payroll system and develop, implement and document payroll procedures; provide oversight, expertise and reporting
- Coordinate with local PBPs to manage and review monthly international payroll updates to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations, and other employee changes
- Maintain strong processes that evidence payroll review and approval procedures are appropriate to ensure accurate payrolls globally
- Maintain controls, and audits, ensuring that Global Controls and SOPs are followed and updated
- Partner with People Leadership team on key initiatives, to included continued integration activities
In the role of Senior Payroll Specialist, you will report to the Senior Director, Total Rewards.

About You

- You have experience as an International Payroll Manager, overseeing payroll operations for multiple countries
- You have progressive global payroll related experience
- You have in-depth knowledge of global payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor legislation
- You have prior experience leading a payroll system implementation
- You have experience with Workday and CloudPay
- You're able to resolve employee, audit, and accounting inquiries, seek solutions and follow through on complex tasks
- You understand payroll system structures and are able to build relationships with team members across the company
