We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Transactional Legal Assistant to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning and business documentation, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and the ability to support our attorneys in transactional matters. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation, review, and editing of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents.
- Support attorneys in preparing and managing business documents, such as contracts, agreements, and corporate formation documents.
- Maintain and organize files, ensuring accurate and timely documentation for all client matters.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and deadlines.
- Conduct basic research related to transactional legal matters as needed.
- Handle client communications professionally, maintaining confidentiality and a high level of service.
- Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, file management, and document preparation to support the transactional practice.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant, with a focus on estate planning and business documentation.
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent; paralegal certification preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
