About the Role: The Paralegal will support the legal department in a variety of matters that impact our business including contract review & negotiations, public company governance, civil litigation, labor & employment, mergers and acquisition, and legal operations.

Essential Functions
- Support substantive legal processes by performing key job functions such as drafting and/or reviewing legal documentation with minimal attorney supervision
- Review, draft, and depending on experience, negotiate contracts for customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors in connection with legal staff and operations management
- Provide administrative support for business licensing and registrations compliance
- Assist in the corporate secretary function, including review and preparation of minutes and resolutions
- Provide claim and litigation support to legal department as well as external counsel
- Conduct research of federal, state, and local statutes, records decisions, legal articles, legal codes, and other legal sources and reference materials.
- Provide transactional and administrative support across the legal department
- Provide support for public company governance, including drafting and reviewing legal documentation
- Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries
- Regular and predictable attendance

About You: Qualifications
- 1+ years of paralegal experience either in a corporate legal department or at a law firm, preferably with experience in construction law
- Associate's degree - required
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate - preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must have basic foundational legal knowledge, including knowledge required to perform legal research with software such as LEXIS and WestLaw
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities with a business-minded focus to support our operationsAdvanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels and across all functions within the company
- Superior organizational skills
- Superior administrative skills with an attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- High degree of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits - Salary $60,000-$80,000 / year
- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
