Start an Online Pharmacy Clerk Training Program NOW, and be ready for your summer work experience.
We offer an online training program and summer work experience for aspiring Pharmacy Clerks through Oregon's Pre-Employment Training Service (Pre-ETS) program. Online training is tuition-free and unpaid time.
What does a Pharmacy Clerk do?
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they come to the pharmacy
- Answer phone calls
- Collect payment and insurance information
- Give orders to customers
- Keep the shelves organized and clean
- Make regular inventory checks
To qualify for the free online coursework, you must be:
- Aged 15 to 21
- Have a documented disability
- Be an Oregon resident
- Currently enrolled in an Oregon-based school or youth transition program.
The summer work experience places you in a pharmacy or other relevant healthcare setting located near you, and can pay $16 per hour for up to 12 hours per week for eight (8) weeks.

Once you've completed the form, please email it directly to pre.ets@odhsoha.oregon.gov.
After you've been approved, a member of the workability team will contact you and provide you with access to the online coursework. Finish online learning and be ready to start your summer work experience as early as May 2024.
