Our client, a reputable organization highly recognized for its commitment to excellence, is seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Director of Finance. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial reporting, treasury management, financial operations, and regulatory compliance. This senior managerial role assumes responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, coordinating year-end external audits, managing the accounting department, and overseeing cash flow planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Oversee all month-end and year-end processes Conduct balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations Prepare monthly reporting analysis and elucidate Key Financial Ratios
Cash Management and Treasury:
Manage cash flow planning, analysis and reporting Oversee all treasury requirements including banking, loans and foreign exchange contracts Ensure an effective working capital management and fixed assets analysis
Financial Operations:
Supervise sales allowances, coop and commissions administration process Ensure compliance with government statutory submissions and reporting Manage tax administration and liaise with CRA on government regulations Handle payroll administration strongly focusing on wages, benefits and group RRSP deductions Maintain and implement an effective internal control system
Leadership:
Manage and lead the finance team by setting targets, delivering training and ensuring effective communication Continuously improve processes, procedures, systems and controls Assist with forecast and budget analysis
