This client is a fantastic and well-established Wine Importer with a large presence Nationally. This company offers a fantastic and inspirational range of products, pioneering the way in terms of producers and product.
We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager who is passionate about wine and has a proven track record in sales management. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting their junior sales team, developing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the wine industry.
This role is fantastic for someone who has intrinsic industry knowledge and a passion for wine development.
The Role of Senior Sales Manager Key:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and expand market presence.
- Mentor the junior sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including top-tier restaurants, hotels, and retail outlets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including emerging markets and niche segments.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales tactics and product offerings.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
The Ideal Senior Sales Manager
- Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience, preferably within the wine or beverage industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the wine industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as required.
