The LiquidMetrix Sales Executive is an Industry & Technology Product Specialist whose chief responsibility is to capture new revenue by expanding the client base. This salesperson will be responsible for a territory covering EMEA.
The role will take responsibility for the acquisition of new revenue, as a key source of market intelligence. A secondary responsibility is to provide input from current client experience into requirements for new product features and functions.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of sales at a senior level. The primary client contacts will be Head Traders and Chief Compliance Officers of both buy-side and sell-side institutions. The candidate will have strong presentation skills which can demonstrate LiquidMetrix product benefits through discussion of the current industry landscape and client specific objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, conduct commercial negotiations and close new sales leads through existing contacts, business directories, client referrals etc.
- Sell and demonstrate Transaction Cost Analysis and Trade Surveillance solutions to buy-side and sell-side institutions.
- Present consultative review of client trading results and make actionable recommendations.
- Manage RFP and custom client implementation queries as part of the Sales process.
- Generate sales among existing client accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
- Understand client’s TCA/Surveillance data and their use within their organization.
- Work closely with the client On-Boarding team to ensure all business aspects of the POC or client on-boarding are addressed for client satisfaction.
- Representation of the firm at industry conferences, periodic panel participation and other industry events.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proven Sales & Account Management track record at senior levels.
- Knowledge of securities industry especially but not limited to Equities. Experience working with buy side or sell side firms (or financial data vendors servicing the buy/sell side front office).
- Knowledge of OMS / EMS data and trading workflows. Experience in transaction cost analysis, best execution, and market microstructure.
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills. Extensive experience delivering presentations and data analysis reports.
- Knowledge of Salesforce.
- Flexibility to travel as the role may entail travel across Europe.
- University degree.
- Excellent presentation skills.
